Sleep
Not getting enough sleep can wreck havoc on how we feel and behave. Often due to lifestyle factors such as work or family stresses getting a good night sleep is not always possible.
How to improve your sleep patterns? Start by thinking about your nightly routine. Are you eating or drinking immediately before bed? If so, it's especially important to stay away from caffeine and sugar, which tend to keep you awake.
Next, make sure your bedroom is set up for you to have the best night sleep possible. Remove distractions- such as phones and laptops. Try room sprays such as Lavender to create a relaxed environment
Eat right
The gut has a huge effect on how we feel. Food can keep us healthy and give us energy or can contribute to a number of health conditions. Some of the most amazing self-care foods include fatty fish, blueberries, nuts, green leafy veggies, and brassicas, like broccoli.
Say no
Learning to say no is really hard; many of us feel obligated to say yes when someone asks for our time or energy. However, if you’re already stressed or overworked, saying yes to loved ones or co-workers can lead to burnout, anxiety, and irritability. It may take a little practice, but once you learn how to politely say no, you'll start to feel more self-confident, and you'll have more time for your self-care.
Get organised
Having things in order can help you think clearer and in turn reduce stress. Start small, organise one thing at a time. Simple tasks like keeping your dairy organised can massively boost improve the way you view the world. Setting aside time to arrange your things for the morning can also help you feel more organised.
Schedule time
In this fast paced world finding time for you can seem like an impossible task but this is even more of a reason to do it. Whether its a relaxing massage, a refreshing walk or a hot bath. Start small and set 15 minutes aside each day to do something you enjoy just for you.
